From this article by the Daily Star:
A FOOTBALL mascot has been sacked for posting vile rants about Celtic manager Neil Lennon.
David Purvis, a children’s favourite as Rossco The Staggie at Ross County in the Scottish First Division, made disgusting comments about Neil Lennon online after last week’s controversial Celtic- Rangers cup tie.
He dubbed the Celtic boss “a sewer rat” and “c***” on his specially-named Staggie Facebook page.
The Rangers fan raged: “He (Lennon) went for Ally McCoist after the match. The guy’s a sewer rat.”
He added: “Lennon you’re a dirty c***. Hope you get whats coming to you yah dirty b******. Call yourself a manager. There will be some scrap in Glasgow tonight.”
Lennon, meanwhile, is under 24-hour police guard as fears grow for his safety following the Old Firm Cup match.
The Celtic boss clashed with Rangers assistant manager Ally McCoist at the end of Celtic’s 1-0 home win, which saw three visiting players sent off.
